STATISTICS FOR ACCESSIBLE TOURISM

Fresh, updated statistics about the accessible tourism market are hard to come by because the definitions of what to look for are often unclear. Also few companies, tourist boards, governments... actually collect these data - almost certainly not on a regular basis. Accessible tourism stats are not part of the recognised data-sets that are collected for visitor arrivals, hotel bednights, etc.

So mainly we have to look at research studies and surveys to get some idea of what is out there. These are two key references that I always recommend:
